Project description:
A two story building with 76,293 GSF,

CDL performed wide variety of services for this two-story structure, including a whole-building energy model simulation, a comprehensive energy analysis, and an assessment of the building systems and configuration for this project. Multiple Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) were modeled for comparison. With minor changes and the execution of the recommended ECMs, the project was calculated to be 18.6% more efficient than the ASHRAE 90.1-2004 Baseline.

The following recommended ECMs listed in priority order:

1- Reduce Internal Lighting Power Density
2- Install High Performance Windows
3- Control Interior Lighting of all Spaces with Windows and/or Skylights
4- Install Automatic Light Controls in all Activity Areas
5- Add 3″ of Rigid Insulation to the Exterior Wall Section Details
6- Add 3″ of Rigid Insulation to the Roof Section Details
