Multiple Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) were modeled. Based on the simulation results of the final energy models, annual energy costs of the proposed design is 32.9% lower than the ASHRAE 90.1-2010 reference model. This indicates the project is not only meets the Minimum Energy Performance requirement but also qualifies for additional LEED v4 NC points. Upon the approval by GBCI, the project would achieve 13 points from the Optimize Energy Performance credit.

Rendering of the Baseline Reference Model with as is Orientation, South West view

Rendering of the Proposed Design Model demonstrating different fenestration types, South West view

Source: Performance Output tab of the Minimum Energy Performance Calculator – LEED-Online

Project Location: 301 Old bay lane, Havre de Grace, MarylandOwner: Maryland Military DepartmentArchitectural Firm: Penza+Bailey ArchitectsRating system: LEED v4 BD+C: NCGross floor area: 19,881 sq ftAnticipated end date: 08 Sep 2020Project type: Service: Repair Shop Climatic Design LLC has performed a whole-building energy model simulation, a comprehensive energy analysis, and an assessment of the building systems and configuration for […]

["post-1479","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
