Multiple Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) were modeled to determine the most suitable design decisions for complying with the IECC 2018 requirements. With the execution of the recommended ECMs, the proposed design is approximately 23% more energy cost efficient than the ASHRAE 90.1-2016 reference model. ASHRAE 90.1-2016 is one of the options for the commercial buildings to comply with requirements of IECC 2018. This version of ASHRAE requires calculating Performance Cost Index (PCI) and Performance Cost Index target (PCI<em>t<\/em>)<em> <\/em>and demonstrating the PCI is less than or equal to the (PCI<em>t<\/em>). Based on the simulation results that are shown in Table 2-1, the calculated PCI is 0.77 and is less than the PCI<em>t<\/em> (0.81).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a
