During the design phase CDL has performed a whole-building energy model simulation, a comprehensive energy analysis and an assessment of the building systems and configuration for the project. The simulation results demonstrate that by applying the recommended Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) to the proposed design the project meets Minimum Energy Performance requirement and qualifies for additional LEED points. ASHRAE 90.1-2016 requires calculating Performance Cost Index (PCI) and Performance Cost Index target (PCIt) per metrics of energy costs and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and demonstrating that the PCI is less than or equal to the PCIt. Based on the simulation results, calculated PCI per energy costs metric and GHG metric are less than the calculated PCIt; the percentage of improvement of the current proposed design beyond ASHRAE 90.1-2016 inclusion of on-site solar systems is 51.4% for energy cost and 52.2% for GHG emission, which yield to total of 17 points for Optimize Energy Performance under LEED v4.1 rating system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"http:\/\/climaticdesign.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/image-25.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"
