LEED Management
CDL is member of USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council) and provides LEED services. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is an internationally recognized green building certification system, providing third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using verifiable “green” strategies. LEED rated projects improve performance in metrics such as energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor environmental quality, and stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their impacts.
Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), LEED is intended to provide building owners and operators a concise framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations, and maintenance solutions.
CDL manages LEED process throughout the entire design and construction of the project. Our goal is to guide the project team to a successful LEED rating. We serve as the team’s resource for information on sustainable design, site development, and green building practices.
CDL manages the LEED process through customized documents. We use these documents to communicate with the team, track progress, and keep the project team coordinated through a LEED Kick-off Workshop and LEED Coordination Meetings conducted at key milestone dates throughout the project. USGBC defines the Project Team as including the Owner, the Architect, all consultants, and representatives from the construction team that ideally work together in a collaborative and integrated manner. Successful LEED projects require that the Project Team integrate strategies and engage in active coordination of information between the disciplines and consultants.
