Climatic Design, LLC (CDL) has performed a whole-building energy model simulation, a comprehensive energy analysis, and an assessment of the building systems and configuration for the MSD Veditz Building. Based on the final simulation results, the proposed design not only meets Minimum Energy Performance requirement but also qualifies for additional LEED points. Simulation results of the final energy models as shown in the Total energy usage table of the Performance Output tab of the Minimum Energy Performance Calculator, indicates the proposed design is 29.9% more energy cost efficient than the ASHRAE 90.1-2010 reference model. In the Design Final Review the project was awarded twenty five (25) points for Optimize Energy Performance credit (EA904).
