Climatic Design LLC (CDL) has performed a preliminary energy analysis for the Maryland School of Public Policy project based on the simulation results of a simple box energy model that reflects the early concept design. Eight (8) Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) were modeled to help the design team to select more suitable design strategies to meet project’s sustainability goal. The simulation results demonstrated that by applying the recommended ECMs to the proposed design the project would be 23% more energy cost efficient than the IECC 2015 reference model and meets the requirements.
